Background-The United Nations Development Program’s Regional Center in Cairo (UNDP-RCC) sponsored a BRIDGE Scoping Mission to assess the training needs of the League of Arab States of BRIDGE training.
The regional “Young Women Leadership in Political and Social Development” (YWLD) project is a two-year regional project being implemented by The Academy for International Development – Middle East (AID-ME) as a pilot project in (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia.
This BRIDGE workshop of Train the Facilitators (TtF) represents the second milestone of the Academy for International Development-Middle East's efforts to create the first regional pool of qualified BRIDGE facilitators.
The Academy for International Development – Middle East (AID-ME) is dedicated to increase participation of young women leaders in their society’s public affairs in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The League of Arab States (LAS) organized and sponsored this BRIDGE workshop to build the technical capacity of its election observation mission to Algeria who deployed to Algeria to observe the legislative election in May 2012.
Two Bridge Civic Education workshops were conducted in Sinai Egypt, October 16 - 18 and October 19 - 21.
