UNDP Electoral Support Project has supported the ECN to establish Electoral Education and Information Center in 2 Provinces - Surkhet and Biratnagar. The center will come in operation from January 2020. The ECN already has 3 centers(Pokhara, Dhangadi & Kathmandu). With this 2 new centers, ECN will have now 5 EEIC in Nepal. The main objective of the centers is to provide electoral and voter education.
Describe the purpose of the workshop
To inform and update the staffs from all the EEIC centers about the operation of newly established EEIC. The staffs from already established EEIC center will participate to update and provide information on operation to the new staffs. This workshop will help them to enhance their knowledge on operation of EEIC and development as well as importance of civic and voter education in democracy.
