The workshop is taking place as part of preparations for the upcoming comprehensive review of constituency and ward boundaries which the Malawi Electoral Commission will be implementing from December 2020. The training is therefore being conducted as part of a response to a strategic objective of the Commission. The context may also be viewed as operational in the sense that its part of preparations for next general elections. The exercise is highly consultative and stakeholders have to be well updated on the delimitation processes.
