Second TtF for Libya!

31 October 2012

UNDP organized through the SCELT Project (Support to Civic Engagement in Libya’s Transition) the second BRIDGE TtF workshop in 2012.Twenty-eight participants from different civil society organizations attended this workshop that took place from Oct 14 to 24, 2012 in Tripoli, 11 of them were women. Participants came from all over Libya, mainly from Sabha, Murzuk, Ubari, Derj, Benghazi, Elbaida, Tubruk, Tripoli, Elzawia, Msalata, Sirt, Alkhoms, Binwalid & Nalut.
Five BRIDGE facilitators participated in the preparation and delivery of this TtF:
1. Ossama Kamel (Independent BRIDGE expert facilitator)
2. Reem Ersheid (UNDP BRIDGE workshop facilitator)
3. Hicham Zougagh (BRIDGE workshop facilitator)
4. Najat Doughman (BRIDGE workshop facilitator)
5. Malak Abu Sahmin (BRIDGE workshop facilitator)

Three of the five facilitators were from the group accredited earlier this year after the first TtF. The facilitation team met the week before the workshop to prepare the material and divide the roles. All of the team members worked hard before and during the workshop where all the facilitators were available to assist participants till midnight every day. The participants took their role very seriously and spent long hours preparing their activities and discussing with the facilitation team and other participants. Although there were 14 pair presentations, all participants were actively involved in all the sessions. At the end of the workshop, all the participants earned their certificates thanks to their commitment and hard work. Looking forward to having more BRIDGE facilitators from Libya after this successful TtF.
