Kenya has limited number of electoral trainers who are BRIDGE trained and accredited as facilitators. In the last ten (10) years Kenya has held two (2) BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) workshops and three (3) BRIDGE module workshops. Most of the trained persons are staff of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). However, only a few have been accredited as BRIDGE workshop facilitators. None of these trained persons has reached the level of accrediting facilitator. From March 31 through April 3, 2014, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) made the headlines with a great second BRIDGE training on political finance held in the historic city of Sikasso, in southern Mali.
From September 16 through 20, with USAID support, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) brought together 22 participants from the Malian Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI), the Direction Générale des Elections (DGE), the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MATD) – the three EMBs - and staff from the local IFES office.
As part of its electoral support work with the Union Election Commission (UEC), IFES Myanmar brought BRIDGE to Myanmar for the first time by conducting a TTF in the capital Nay Pi Taw from 23 July to 2 August 2013.
