Article Formations BRIDGE des acteurs de la société civile de Mamou et N’Zérékoré (République de Guinée)

En prélude à la bonne conduite des prochaines échéances électorales en République de Guinée, le PNUD, a entrepris l’organisation d’une série de formations modulaires BRIDGE destinées aux acteurs de la société civile de la République de Guinée. Les premiers ateliers de formation modulaire BRIDGE des acteurs de la société civile de la Guinée sur le processus électoral se sont tenus, de façon concomitante, du 17 au 21 juin 2019 dans les régions administratives de Mamou et N’Zérékoré. Ces formations, qui s’inscrivent dans la phase préélectorale, ont pour objet de renforcer les capacités des acteurs de la société civile sur le processus électoral. Les deux sessions de Mamou et Nzérékoré ont permis de former 60 participants dont 30 femmes. Les thèmes ont porté sur : L’administration électorale ; Genre et élection ; Education civique et électorale ; Les systèmes électoraux ; et L’observation électorale Les formations ont duré cinq jours et ont été assurées par six facilitateurs à raison de trois facilitateurs par site. Abdoul Latif HAIDARA, Facilitateur d’atelier ; Amadou Macka DIALLO, Facilitateur d’atelier; Richard KOUROUMA : Facilitateur d’atelier Mme Odile CONDE, Facilitatrice d’atelier ; Mlle Fatoumata Yarie SYMBALY, Facilitatrice semi accréditée. L’ensemble des participants de la société civile des régions administratives de Mamou et N’Zérékoré a apprécié la qualité des formations, la spécificité et l’originalité de la méthodologie utilisée par le curriculum BRIDGE. Les échanges ont permis aux acteurs de la société civile de prendre conscience de leurs rôles et responsabilités dans les différentes étapes du processus électoral. […]

Electoral Administration and Observation workshop in Cairo, Egypt

The League of Arab States and the UNDP held a 5-day BRIDGE workshop on Electoral Administration and Observation. The workshop was funded by the UNDP and it took place from 16 – 20 December 2018 in Cairo, Egypt. Nineteen LAS participants participated in the workshop. Eight of them were women. The Zimbabwe Gender Commission(ZGC) is an important institution in Zimbabwe‰۪s gender architecture given its mandate to investigate possible violations of rights related to gender; (these may emanate from elections related activities and campaigns) and to receive and consider complaints from the public and to take such action regarding the complaints as it considers appropriate. To operationalize this mandate in this election, it has established a Platform of independent constitutional commissions which is a mechanism for gathering evidence and documenting women‰۪s experiences throughout the electoral cycle. Its membership includes other independent Commissions (Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, National Peace and Reconciliation Commission and the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission) security sector actors, civil society organizations, women‰۪s organizations, academia, and representatives of women‰۪s peace committees in identified areas. Within this framework UN Women in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Gender Commission is organizing a three-day BRIDGE (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance & Elections) training on Gender and Elections for the members of the platform of independent commissions and selected CSOs and relevant government departments. BRIDGE Partners Announce the Launch of Version 2

The BRIDGE project partners launched Version Two of the Building Resources in Democracy and Governance (BRIDGE) Project in New York on March 26, 2008.
