BRIDGE Post-Election Activities workshop in Kenya

24 July 2013

In 2013, the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC) of Kenya had to take a big challenge by holding six elections on the same day under a new constitution. There were high expectations by the people of Kenya about the performance of the election commission and the use of technology in election management. Three new technologies were tested in the general election with mixed reactions, some challenges and some failures.

With the financial support of GIZ and the political prop of the African Union, International IDEA provided technical assistance to IEBC Kenya to plan for the implementation of post electoral activities.
