BRIDGE WORKSHOP ON ELECTORAL ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

The Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) and UNDP/ESP jointly organized a three days BRIDGE Training on Electoral Administration and Management for the ECN Officials from 12-14 August 2015 in Kathmandu. There were a total of 25 participants, of which 19 were newly appointed District Election Officers of different districts of Nepal. The remaining 6 were the newly appointed staff working at Commission. The training was organized as part of the capacity enhancement of newly appointed staffs of the ECN. The objective of the training was to familiarize the new staffs with the electoral systems, electoral operations and election related issues through BRIDGE module. This training was organized following BRIDGE methodology focusing on electoral administration and management module. The training was one of the customized trainings especially design for ECN staff bringing various cross cutting issues into one platform with a view of imparting basic knowledge of contemporary issues on the subject matter that makes them competent in handling different issues of electoral administration and management. The UNDP/ESP is funded by European Union, DFID, Norway and Denmark .
